Holders of the TMMi® Professional certificate have a strong understanding of the TMMi model and how it can be used to support test process improvement in modern software delivery environments. The certification covers the following key areas:

Target Audience
The TMMi® Professional qualification is aimed at anyone involved in using the TMMi model or contributing to test process improvement. It is relevant for professionals working in testing, quality assurance, quality engineering, software quality, and organizational process improvement.
This includes roles such as test process improvers, test consultants, testers, test managers, business stakeholders, members of a Test Process Group, and current or future TMMi Assessors and Lead Assessors.
The qualification is appropriate for anyone who wants to build a solid understanding of the TMMi model and how it can be used to support test process improvement within an organization, project, or team.
Holders of the TMMi Professional certificate can also demonstrate the level of knowledge required as a prerequisite for continuing on the TMMi Career Path towards becoming an accredited TMMi Assessor, TMMi Lead Assessor, and/or TMMi Test Process Improver.
Requirements
There are no formal prerequisites for taking the TMMi® Professional exam. However, candidates should have an interest in software testing and in the continuous improvement of software testing processes.
It is strongly recommended that candidates also:
- Have at least a basic background in software development or software testing, such as six months of experience as a system tester, user acceptance tester, or software developer.
- Complete a TMMi Professional training course delivered by a recognized TMMi training provider.
Achieving the TMMi Professional certificate is the first step on the TMMi Career Path and provides the level of knowledge required for those who wish to continue towards becoming a TMMi Assessor, TMMi Lead Assessor, and/or TMMi Test Process Improver.
