The Agile United Certified Soft-skilled Test Consultant (AU-CSTC) training focuses on the people skills that software testers need to work effectively with team members, colleagues and clients. It explores how communication, team dynamics and individual behavior influence testing activities and the quality of the software delivered.

Through practical exercises and interactive learning, participants develop approaches for building trust, supporting team improvement, communicating testing insights and handling challenging conversations. The syllabus builds on the soft skills and knowledge at the heart of the Agile Test Model (ATM), connecting these competencies to the daily work of a software test consultant in an agile development environment.

 

Chapter 1 – Self-awareness and Team Dynamics

Agile United - Certified Soft-skilled Test Consultant (AU-CSTC) has been designed for software testers and test consultants who want to strengthen their communication, critical thinking and collaboration skills through practical exercises and interactive learning. It is particularly relevant for professionals working in agile development environments who want to build trust, improve team dynamics, communicate testing insights and handle feedback and negotiations effectively. Developers, scrum masters, product owners and managers involved in testing and quality can also benefit from this training, provided they have working experience in software testing.

Requisiti

Working experience in the role of a software tester is a mandatory prerequisite for the Agile United Certified Soft-skilled Test Consultant (AU-CSTC) training. To get the most from the course, it is recommended that you have at least three years of testing experience and have studied a book about testing, such as Agile Testing or More Agile Testing by Lisa Crispin and Janet Gregory. Please consult the syllabus for further reading recommendations. Studying the syllabus alone is not sufficient to prepare for the certification exam.
